Apply Scotts WeedEX Prevent with Halts in early spring when the lawn is dry to prevent germination of crabgrass. It’s easy to use; first calculate the size of your lawn with the Scotts MyLawn app to determine coverage amount. Then pour product into your spreader and adjust setting per the product label requirements and apply. One bag treats up to 5,000 sq. ft. See label for full product instructions.
Scotts® WeedEx™ Prevent with Halts® prevents crabgrass and other problem weeds for a beautiful lawn all season long. In early spring, apply when the lawn is dry to prevent the germination of crabgrass, foxtail, spurge, barnyardgrass, fall panicum, and oxalis. Apply in the fall (August-October) to prevent moss (except in California), or to prevent the germination of Poa annua, henbit, corn speedwell, and chickweed. We recommend using a Scotts® spreader to apply this product. For Scotts® broadcast/rotary spreaders, use a setting of 2 ¼. For Scotts® drop spreaders, use a setting of 4 ½. For Scotts® Wizz®, use a setting of 3 ¼. For best results, the lawn should receive ¼ to ½ inch of water from rainfall or watering within 2-3 days after application. Rain, snow, or freezing weather after application will not affect performance. This product controls crabgrass in its early stages of growth. It does not control mature crabgrass and other existing weeds. Do not apply to Dichondra and Bentgrass. One 10.06 lb. bag of Scotts® WeedEx™ Prevent with Halts® covers 5,000 sq. ft.
